Hi I’m Catherine and I am delighted to be a part of the Limitless Wellness Counselling team here in Nanaimo.
I hold a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology from Queen’s University and a Master of Science in Counselling Psychology. My counselling approach combines evidence-based therapeutic techniques with genuine compassion, collaboration, and respect for each person’s unique experiences and goals.
There are times when managing the demands of daily life can become especially challenging, whether you’re facing the pressures of adolescence, school stress, family dynamics, social challenges, anxiety, depression, or major life transitions. Whether you’re a youth, teen, young adult, or adult seeking support, counselling offers a compassionate and supportive space to better understand your experiences, develop healthy coping strategies, and build confidence as you move toward positive change.
I draw primarily from Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT) and Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT), helping clients better understand the connection between their thoughts, emotions, behaviours, and relationships. Together, we work to identify patterns that may be contributing to distress and develop practical strategies that support healing, growth, and lasting change.
Throughout my training and counselling work, I have supported individuals, couples, and families experiencing a wide range of challenges, including anxiety, family conflict, relationship difficulties, addictions, stress, and life transitions. I believe that every person has strengths and abilities that can be developed and strengthened, even during difficult periods of life.
In addition to my counselling work, I have served as a faculty instructor at Vancouver Island University, where I supported and mentored students in their educational and professional development. This experience has given me valuable insight into the challenges faced by youth, young adults, and individuals navigating major life transitions. I am thrilled to bring this breadth of experience to my work with youth and young adults navigating transformative times in their lives.
I strive to create a counselling environment where clients feel safe, heard, respected, and supported. My goal is to help you build practical tools, gain insight into your experiences, and move toward the life you want to create.
